However, to maintain a strong core we’ve adopted the ‘direct-to-expert’ agency model – have you not heard of it before? Let’s tell you more…
The ‘Direct-to-Experts’ (D2E) model is an approach whereby you – the client, work directly with us – the expert. It’s a model that ensures we work together as collaboratively as possible to deliver the best possible result.
But First, How Does It Work?
A member of the Ecrubox team will work with you to formulate and execute a plan to meet your overall business goals and objectives. Whether you’re looking to up your social media game, become visible in search engine results or increase sales through performance marketing – our team has you covered. We’re all experienced in our fields with years of experience working in-house and agency side ranging from various sectors – so we know you’ll be getting the very best service possible!
The D2E Benefits, For Us And You
We believe the D2E is the best approach a marketing agency can adopt. Not only is it beneficial in terms of success, but it also allows for strong working relationships to be nurtured like never before. As you probably already know, building a strong relationship with your agency is vital to oncoming success and this model actively encourages the formation of strong professional relationships.
You’ll have a team of experts who know their stuff working alongside your internal team. Not only will they be able to answer all your questions, but you’ll also be able to learn from them. That’s the great thing about the D2E model. Instead of simply hearing from the middleman that a task has been ‘actioned’ the expert will give you insight into what they did and how they did it.
Not only will our expertise be beneficial for your campaign and business overall, but it’s also an opportunity for your internal team to learn ‘on the job’ too.
Many other agencies use account managers (AKA a middleman). They communicate messages back and forth from client to expert, adding no real value to the overall product. That’s why when you work with us there will be no middle man.
Instead, you’ll come straight to the experts and get all your answers, feedback and concerns dealt with straight away, so we can get your project underway and start seeing results as soon as possible.
As an agency, we strive towards high-value, happy and healthy relationships with our clients that are based on trust and integrity. For this to happen, we believe it to be essential to lay out expectations, terms, and conditions from the outset. We want to keep the promises we make and maintain two-way communication so that you can have timely and responsive answers.
You’ll be kept up to date in live time with how your projects are progressing. All you need to do is message a member of the team, and they’ll be able to share worksheets with you that document where they are currently at.
Where Others Go Wrong
We’ve seen it before, where agencies have structures in place that restrict performance. Many have account managers responsible for being the layer between the client and the agency’s team who deliver the services that the customer has purchased.
What does this mean for you as a customer?
It means that you have one person that you can contact, which is useful, in some cases, if many projects are going on and clients are just looking for top-line results and nothing else. However, it’s important to remember that 99.9% of the time, this account manager will not be technically skilled, in the same way, the experts who are delivering the work are. These are the people that sit behind the account manager.
So while you are likely to get updates across all the digital marketing teams, these will be very top level as we mentioned, and it’s unlikely you’ll be able to ask in-depth questions at this stage, Eg. “What’s going on with our Ad Account?“, “How is a specific ad performing?” or even from an SEO perspective “What keywords are we ranking for right now?“.
The account manager is unlikely to have insight into this off the bat, causing delays and sometimes errors within the information relayed. Not in any fault of their own, just simply because they are not close enough to the project(s) or doing the work. Instead, they will need to write down questions clients have and speak to the separate teams before returning to the clients. This whole process can also mean that if the account manager isn’t technical enough to understand the question, they could subsequently ask the experts the wrong question – which we’ve seen happen time and time again.
As a customer, this is likely to be frustrating, especially if you cannot speak directly to the experts themselves. Not having this direct relationship with those working on your account can lead to performance and campaign optimisation issues arising.
Whereas with D2E, experts can quickly identify areas for improvement, go straight to the client, put forth ideas, and get these implemented straight away, strengthening the activities’ overall success. It also gives the experts the chance to understand the client’s business, goals, and objectives, getting business updates and focuses regularly, and working together to align business and marketing strategies.
Outside of that, from an agency perspective, we’re able to offer a lower day rate than most agencies because we’re not hiring account managers who take up overheads for the business without delivering the services to the clients.
